Text From 2016 Shows Obama's Interest in FBI Employees' Work

Newly released texts between FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page revealed that former President Barack Obama "want [ed] to know everything we're doing" in the bureau's investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.

Page's text message, in contrast, was never meant to see the light of day, was therefore more candid, and may have greater credibility.

By contrast, the Democrats' media operatives dismissed them as irrelevant, and used the timing of one of the messages to argue it had nothing to do with the Clinton investigation.

"I look forward to investigating this matter more closely with my colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee", said Gaetz, "and I would like to thank the House Intelligence Committee, Senate Intelligence Committee, and the Senate Judiciary Committee for continuing to investigate these worrisome issues on behalf of the American people".

Fox released a report early Wednesday morning claiming the message "raises questions about Obama's personal involvement" in the FBI's 2016 probe of Hillary Clinton's private email server.

On September 2, 2016, Page wrote about preparing talking points for Director Comey because "potus wants to know everything we're doing". Wasn't that the point that Donald Trump's defenders made when he fired Comey several months later? The document dump does not include five months of messages that Strzok and Page exchanged between December 13, 2016 and May 17, 2017, a crucial time period in the Russian Federation investigation.

"One thing that I have done is to be pretty [scrupulous] about not wading into investigations and decisions and prosecution decisions or decisions not to prosecute", Obama told reporters.

"Page's meaning here is unclear, but Senate investigators say, coupled with Strzok's August 15 text about an "insurance policy", further investigation is warranted to find out".

How many Federal Bureau of Investigation directors follow to the letter the talking points of underling agents on national security? According to Fox News, the report "raises questions about Obama's personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation".

Strzok supervised the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server, and was on special counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating any ties between Trump associates and Russian Federation before he was removed in July.

The next day, November 14, 2016, Page wrote, "God, being here makes me angry". But Page left after a short stint on that investigation, and Strzok was removed after the Justice Department inspector general discovered their politically-charged text messages.

However, a Wall Street Journal review of approximately 7,000 messages between Strzok and Page shows "no evidence of a conspiracy against Mr. Trump", the paper reported Friday. "Figure I need to brush up on watergate". "Meanwhile we have OUR task ahead of us".

"Omg, I am so depressed", Strzok replied.

But Strzok also said he was reluctant to get involved, "in part because of my gut sense and concern there's no big there there".
