Travelers killing time at Tampa International Airport's Gasparilla Bar got an unexpected show Friday when a dog gave birth to eight puppies near Gate F81. And the delivery ended with a big surprise.

The mom-to-be was waiting with her owner, Diane Van Atter, and the puppies' father, Golden Nugget, to fly home from Florida when the babies began to arrive, according to tweets from Tampa Fire Rescue.

Photos and a video of the incident were uploaded on the fire department's Twitter page under the hashtag "AirportPuppies". "Every time she's ready to deliver another one he starts jumping around", James told Tampa Bay Times.

Eight puppies were born in total. Luckily for Ellie, a team of paramedics were on hand to give her a hand.
