LeBron doesn't have plans to meet with Cavs

In a short statement, the 33-year-old's sports management group said the three-time National Basketball Association champion has agreed a four-year contract with the Lakers, seeing the star leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for a second time and make his debut in the Western Conference.

And ESPN is reporting the Cleveland Cavaliers won't meet in person with LeBron James or his representatives once it does.

Kobe Bryant, who played his entire 20-year career with the Lakers, winning five titles, welcomed James to the "family".

That means the Sixers, who have been in trade talks with the Spurs, are considering themselves strong suitors to land Leonard in a trade, and there's not telling how deadly a pairing of Leonard and James alongside Embiid and Simmons would be. Yes, James has a house in Los Angeles, and is known to spend a good amount of the offseason there, it's hard for basketball fans not to view this as a sign before the madness of free agency gets underway. James can also sign a short-term deal with Cleveland, something he has done each year since returning in 2014.

James will factor family - he has three children, and his oldest son is a rising hoops star - into the choice of where he plays next. More than that, he has let his agent Rich Paul and the rest of his team handle dealings with teams (although LeBron himself has reached out to players he wants to team up with - player-to-player is not tampering under the NBA's rules).

Free agency officially begins Sunday.

No hate, no fear. "We are outraged at all of the things that are unfolding in our country". People carried handmade signs, including one that read, "Don't have a heart of I.C.E".

The tweet made official what had been expected for days: James will ship West to Los Angeles after spending the past four seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers. They have the cap space to add other big free agents and the King has two homes in LA.

After "ending the friendship" with James over repeated questions about free agency, Jefferson took the next step and put his response on a t-shirt, which he wore to the beach, and later, posted a picture of on Instagram.

Which side of the proverbial fence James is leaning on is still a bit unclear.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James (23) watches a shot during the fourth quarter against the Golden State Warriors in game four of the 2018 NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena. It is important to note the lineup is likely to look different as the off-season progresses, even if James comes to L.A.

It was James' eighth consecutive Finals appearance, a remarkable feat not matched since Hall of Famer Bill Russell and a handful of Celtics did it in the 1960s. The Sixers also have center Joel Embiid, 24, projected to become the game's next dominant big men. But speculation is still rampant that James could sign with Lakers, considering he has a home in Los Angeles.

After being swept by the Golden State Warriors, most people expect LeBron James to leave his hometown team for the second time and chase another championship ring somewhere else.
