Maurizio Sarri open to have Chelsea legend back as coach

Sarri has made a superb start to life in the Premier League, with Chelsea claiming four wins from four, however their momentum was halted by the first global break of the season.

"He wants to play with the ball, he wants to play with intensity, to work on the details and to give us all the information he can about the next game and the opponent".

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has waxed lyrical over David Luiz - insisting the Brazilian has a "big future" at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's flawless start to the season has led to suggestions they can challenge for the title after finishing fifth last term, well adrift of champions Manchester City.

"I can answer City or Liverpool, at the moment", added Sarri on which sides are title contenders. "For me, my life is on the pitch with the players". I hope not. It's very hard.

"We need another step, I think, to be the same level".

"It is very hard to recover 30 points in one season, very hard".

Philippines braces for worst typhoon of the year
In the province of Benguet and Kalinga, at least 136 people have been evacuated, according to the civil defence office. The Pacific Daily News reported government agencies were conducting damage assessments and beginning to clear roads.

"My feeling is that now we are not a very solid team in the defensive phase".

"We need to improve".

But Sarri doesn't believe Chelsea, as well as Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal, are good enough to compete with the other two clubs.

Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta (both illness) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (shin) are doubts.

"I'm trying to stress this number to my players, just telling them this number, my experience in this situation".

If Conte had remained at Stamford Bridge, it is unlikely that Luiz would still be at the club, but the 31-year-old is now one of the club's most important players again. I made a great story there a long time ago and I hope they come back to the top.
