Kavanaugh was questioned in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee again.
The visit came several days after Mr. Flake played a central role in the kerfuffle over Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, making him a target of criticism from activists on the right and the left.

In an appearance earlier in the day in Boston, Flake said he wants to ensure that the FBI is able to do a "real investigation" into the allegations.
Responding to those concerns, Trump said at a press conference he wants the FBI to do a "comprehensive" investigation and "it wouldn't bother me at all" if agents pursued accusations made by the three women.
"I've been failing my tribe for some time now", he continued. He said he may run - either as a Republican or an independent - if no one else does. Trump said. "You have to stay within reason. I think it's actually a good thing for Judge Kavanaugh".
