MegaMillions and Powerball jackpots combined are now almost $1B

Powerball officials announced that Wednesday's jackpot reached $345 million.

The $654 million is up for grabs for tonight's drawing.

The jackpot for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing hit $667 million. It's the second-largest jackpot in the game's history and fourth-biggest lottery jackpot ever in the United States. It's only $2 million less than the March 2012 record of $656 million. The last Powerball jackpot, which totaled $245.6 million, was won August 11 by a man in Staten Island, New York.
