Newlyweds Killed In Helicopter Crash After Departing From Wedding

The groom's grandfather, William Byler, confirmed to local Houston news station KTRK that the helicopter crashed at the family's ranch in Uvalde, Texas, about 80 miles west of San Antonio.

The TV station reports the helicopter's pilot was also killed in the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board said Sunday it was investigating a crash of a Bell 206B helicopter in the area.

The Houstonian, the student newspaper for Sam Houston State University, identified the couple as Will Byler and Bailee Ackerman Byler.

According to the couple's wedding website, they were to be married Saturday in Uvalde, where the Byler family ranch is located.

The crash took place in Uvalde, Texas, and the Uvalde Police received a call from an aviation monitoring center at approximately midnight Saturday of a possible downed aircraft.
