As exciting as Sunday night was for the winners at the Golden Globes, HBO managed to steal some of their spotlight by debuting new footage from its lineup of 2019 shows - some of which are returning, and others of which are brand new to the network.

The teaser also features first footage from HBO's "Watchmen" series, creator Damon Lindelof's new take on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' iconic graphic novel, which follows a group of vigilante crime fighters and superheroes as they move through a turbulent alternate history version of 1985. With the utmost respect to every show on the docket, there was one very brief clip that everyone in the world was waiting for: Game of Thrones.

"Winterfell is yours, your grace", Sansa tells Dany, who is seen walking up to the Stark family stronghold alongside Jon Snow (Kit Harington), her confidant-turned-bed-mate who doesn't know that Dany is his aunt and he's not really a bastard.

However, we have finally been given a glimpse (albeit short) into the new episodes. It's apparent that she's at least had some conversations with Jon Snow (a.k.a. Aegon Targaryen) before this meeting.

Game of Thrones' final season won't premiere until April 2019, but HBO just revealed a key character alliance ahead of the White Walker invasion. That look Sansa gives Daenerys alone is all you need to sell this final season.

Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) is also seen behind Sansa as she hands over the Northern stronghold to Daenerys. Which yes, absolutely includes a literal two seconds on Game Of Thrones' final season. The new season of the show will also feature Oscar victor Meryl Streep who in the teaser is seen asking Reese, "I want to know what happened that night". The full line up of 2019 HBO content can be viewed on the HBO website.

Needless to say, Season 8 is about to get messy.
