Barcelona are now first in the La Liga table.

Barca have now extended their winning run in the league to six matches and restore their five-point lead over Atletico Madrid at the top of the table, while Eibar remain in 13th position. In fact, the Brazil worldwide has started only one of Barca's last five fixtures and has struggled to make an impact when given the chance.

Barcelona thought that they should have had a penalty late in the first period when Coutinho went down under contact from Pena, but the officials were not interested and 1-0 was the score at the half-time break.

Having already won four trophies in 18 months in the French capital Neymar has enjoyed no shortage of success but continues to have an emotional attachment to Barca - with his first demand to return allegedly coming as early as last season. It would be a huge deal if United can pull it off to take a former Liverpool star to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian midfielder is facing a lack of game time at Barcelona, and the speculations surrounding his move away from the club have risen over the past few weeks.

Manny Machado Still Seeking More Than $325 Million, Yankees Out
The report states they appear to have turned their focus to Machado and recently made him a $200 million offer. Even popular stars such as Chris Sale couldn't make fans come out to watch a subpar product on the field.

And the Standard report that Barca are stepping up efforts "behind the scenes" to bring Neymar back from Paris Saint-Germain, with that purchase funded by the offloading of Coutinho.

However, he made no mention of Neymar and any deal would nearly certainly have to wait until the summer. The La Liga leaders are looking to cash in on to fund a move for Neymar.

However, in a post on social media, Neymar Sr. has attempted to discredit the information by labelling it "fake news" twice.

A report by Radio Catalunya which is also cited by Sport, claims that the Brazilian has been in touch with Barca team-mates and that Andre Cury, an advisor to the Catalan club, met with Neymar's representatives.

"I think he feels good here, both in the dressing room and on the pitch, he is disciplined, he does a lot of things on the pitch".
