After Satoransky, the team's only other true point guard is Chasson Randle, who just signed with the team a couple weeks ago after spending much of the season with their G League affiliate.

Wall made the decision to undergo surgery after consulting a foot specialist and would be out for at least six months, ESPN and The Associated Press report.

The Washington Post first reported that surgery could be necessary.

Wall went to Wisconsin to see Green Bay Packers associate team physician Dr. Robert Anderson on Saturday. The surgery will fully heal the bone spurs that have nagged him for years.

Wall, 28, missed his fourth game of the season on Friday against the Chicago Bulls, and is out Saturday night against the Charlotte Hornets.

He also underwent surgeries on both knees in 2016. The team is 10 games below.500 and would be a non-factor in the postseason even if they were able to sneak into the top 8.

John Wall's season could be at its end.

The Washington Wizards' horrific, dramatic 2018 season has been painful to watch at times.

The procedure would sideline Wall 6-8 months. As is the case every year, the team has been inconsistent in their play.
